5 Honda Models Recieve Lowest True Cost to Own

In Edmunds.com's first annual Lowest True Cost to Own (TCO) Awards, Edmunds identified vehicles that consistently maintain the lowest overall ownership costs in their respective segments. TCO calculations involve virtually everything it costs to own and operate an automobile for five years including depreciation, taxes & fees, fuel, maintenance, repairs, tax credit (if any), financing, and insurance. Honda vehicles selected were:
  • Honda Fit: Sedan $15k-$25k
  • Honda Accord: Coupe $25k-$35k
  • Honda Ridgeline: Large Truck
  • Honda CR-V: SUV under $25,000
  • Honda Insight: Hybrid (See News item to the left)
This is a great opportunity to explain to customers that Edmunds.com, a third party automotive expert, has determined these vehicles cost less to own and operate over a 5-year ownership period compared to any other vehicle in their segments - even if the initial purchase price is higher.
